1798 1C Second Hair Style, S-187, B-40, R.1, AU58 PCGS. CAC. Breen Die State II, with obverse cracks from TY to the border at 3 o'clock, and from the first crack to the border at 4:30. The reverse has cracks through CA to the right ribbon end. A lovely example that features olive-brown surfaces and golden-tan that is faded from original mint red. Our EAC grade AU55, placing this piece at the low end of the Condition Census for the variety.
