1839 1C Silly Head, N-9, R.2, MS65 Brown PCGS. Noyes Die State B with "mushy" denticles. The bisecting obverse die crack from 11 to 5 o'clock allows for prompt attribution. A satiny Gem with a well-struck portrait. The obverse is light golden-brown, the reverse is gunmetal-blue with glimpses of chocolate-brown. Unabraded save for a pair of minor marks near star 11. Our EAC grade MS60.
