Indian Cents
1864 1C Copper-Nickel MS66 PCGS. The 1864 is the final copper-nickel Indian cent issue and becomes quite rare in the Premium Gem level of preservation. Only 51 submissions have been reported in MS66 by the two major grading services and one finer. Reddish-orange surfaces exhibit sharply struck devices: all four diamonds stand out as do the feather tips and letters in LIBERTY. No bothersome carbon spots or marks are evident. Population: 32 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1 finer (11/16).
