1922-D 1C Weak D MS64+ Brown PCGS. CAC. The mintmark is faint on this high-end near-Gem, although still discernible with a glass. Both dies are heavily worn and flowlined, although the reverse is particularly eroded with the left wheat ear appearing melted into the field. Rich burgundy toning allows strong luster to emerge on each side, and hints of copper-red appear around the relief elements. Population (Weak D cents): 3 in 64 (1 in 64+) Brown, 1 finer. CAC: 1 in 64, 0 finer (11/16).
