Proof Lincoln Cents
1914 1C PR66 Brown PCGS. CAC. Soft bluish-brown toning dominates this spectacular Premium Gem, particularly in the centers, transitioning to whispers of reddish-gold at the borders. The design elements are boldly defined and the matte surfaces are remarkably clean. Kevin Flynn, in his 2009 Lincoln Cent Matte Proofs writes: Because Lincoln cent matte proofs were wrapped in tissue paper when they were sold, the majority would have toned from the sulfur in the paper." This piece is well deserving of the CAC endorsement. Population: 22 in 66 (2 in 66+) Brown, 3 finer. CAC: 10 in 66, 1 finer (11/16).
