Proof Lincoln Cents
1936 1C Type Two -- Brilliant Finish PR66 Red PCGS. Only 5,569 proof cents were struck in 1936, and two different finishes were used; thus limiting the number of possible coins of each finish to half that total. The Brilliant Finish proofs are more popular as they are more easily recognized as proofs, whereas the Satin Finish proofs take a practiced eye to discern them from business strikes. This is a light red example with occasional streaks of lilac interspersed. Deeply mirrored fields. Population: 56 in 66 (3 in 66+) Red, 2 finer (11/16).
