Three Cent Silver
1864 3CS MS67+ PCGS. CAC. With a small production of 12,000 coins, the 1864 is a challenging middle date in the series, demand for which is heightened by its Civil War association. The coins did not circulate stateside during that time. They were hoarded, and examples are available as high MS68. This MS67+ coin with CAC endorsement rivals those top-graded coins. Mottled rainbow iridescence covers the surfaces in their entirety. Nearly fully struck with light clash marks. Population: 7 in 67 (1 in 67+), 6 finer. CAC: 3 in 67, 4 finer (11/16).
