Shield Nickels
1867 5C Rays MS65 PCGS. CAC. Type and date collectors will find the 1867 Shield nickel to be a challenging acquisition in Gem condition, with finer representatives rarely seen. This CAC-approved MS65 coin displays satiny nickel-gray luster with a hint of champagne toning. The coin is well-struck but lacks complete definition on several stars and the right (facing) wreath leaves. Population: 38 in 65 (1 in 65+), 8 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 0 finer (10/16).
