Proof Buffalo Nickels
1936 5C Type Two -- Brilliant Finish PR67 PCGS. CAC. The Mint reverted to striking proof Buffalo nickels with a Brilliant Finish during the latter part of 1936 after an unsuccessful attempt to introduce a new Satin Finish. Both types are about equally available. This Superb Gem proof showcases faint traces of pale blue over essentially brilliant surfaces. Devoid of contact and fully struck, as one would expect of a proof. Housed in a green label holder. PCGS reports eight finer submissions. CAC: 79 in 67, 5 finer (10/16).
