Early Half Dimes
1795 H10C V-5, LM-8, R.3, VF30 PCGS. CAC. This Flowing Hair half dime is remarkably free of marks from circulation. Some Mint-related adjustment marks join a long, rim-to-rim die crack that runs from below the 7 in the date through the head of Liberty to the rim above the Y in LIBERTY. On the LM-8 variety, the I and B of LIBERTY are spaced too far apart, and the left wing has no berries beneath it on either side of the stem. An excellent example for type -- one of the few CAC-endorsed 1795 half dimes at the VF30 level or finer. CAC: 4 in 30, 79 finer (11/16).
