Early Half Dimes
1800 H10C V-1, LM-1, R.3, VF35 PCGS. Two small "o" punches were used for the 8 in the date, explaining the rudimentary appearance. Deep blue tones near the periphery meld with gold and lavender-gray patina near the centers. The resulting eye appeal is tremendous. Areas of incompleteness occur near the upper reverse stars and the right shield corner, while the obverse is generally well-defined, save for the upper curls. A curious set of ticks are visible around the clouds.
