Bust Half Dimes
1829 H10C V-7, LM-1, R.2, MS65 NGC. A semiprooflike example -- perhaps an early strike -- representing the resumption of the half dime series after a 24-year absence for the denomination. Sea-green and peach-gold toning conveys a lustrous and pleasing visual impression of both sides. The strike is razor-sharp and no marks of any significance disturb the vibrant appeal of this little Gem, perfect for type. Census (all varieties): 38 in 65, 28 finer (12/16).
