Bust Dimes
1820 10C JR-13, R.2, MS64 PCGS. A splendid, near-Gem example of the scarce JR-13 variety, although it is somewhat obtainable among the three varieties representing the Large 0 date subtype. Star 7 points to the top of Liberty's forecurl, and the 1 in 10 C is sharply recut. Lustrous, gunmetal-gray surfaces display faint rose and blue highlights, brightening to cream-gray at the centers. The strike lacks sharpness only on a couple of right-side stars and the eagle's left (facing) claw. Population: 20 in 64 (1 in 64+), 18 finer (12/16).
