Bust Dimes
1821 10C Small Date, JR-9, R.2, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Deep gunmetal-gray, autumn-brown, and forest-green toning blankets satiny surfaces. This is a fully struck Capped Bust type coin, smooth aside from a few faded field marks above the date. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA legend mixes small and large letters, with the C, M, and T in the latter category. PCGS reports only seven 1821 dimes attributed as JR-9 in all grades. Including all Small Date varieties, that service lists: 6 in 64 (1 in 64+), 1 finer (11/16).
