1845 10C Repunched Date, F-107, R.4, MS65 PCGS. A Top 100 Seated Dime Variety. This Philadelphia issue claims a mintage of over 1.7 million coins. Several repunched date varieties exist, but none are as sought-after as Fortin-107. Also known as the 1845/1845 variety, repunching is evident on all digits in the date. Reverse F features a die crack from (STATE)S through OF to the rim above A(MERICA). The suggested premium for this variant is between 50% and 100%.
This Premium Gem is sharply defined throughout and expectedly clean given the high technical grade. Luminous golden-russet surfaces exhibit orange and violet accents, generating vivid eye appeal.
