1805 25C B-2, R.2, XF45 PCGS. CAC. Tompkins Die State 2/2. Weakness at the right side of R in LIBERTY and multiple die clashing on the reverse define the die stage. While the Browning-2 variety is reasonably available in lower circulated grades, Choice XF or finer coins are scarce. This partially lustrous example displays tan-gold toning with blue accents. Traces of reflectivity remain in the minimally marked fields. The devices show moderate wear and, as usually seen, the field stars are weakly struck.
