1834 25C O Over F in OF, B-1, FS-901, R.1, MS63 NGC. Tompkins Die State 5/5. Struck from the late die stage, with a long curving die crack from the edge near star 1 across Liberty through star 13 to the edge. Both the A in STATES and the first A in AMERICA are filled, with the reverse die heavily lapped. Ear bars from die clashing are prominent on Liberty's ear. This frosty, Select Uncirculated example is lightly toned in a lustrous, silver-gray shade with sharply struck devices. A few light marks are noted beneath STATES near the eagle's head. Die doubling on OF and other anomalies in the reverse legend make up Cherrypickers' FS-901 variety, although the lapped die state minimizes some of the features.
