1835 25C B-2, R.2, MS62 NGC. Tompkins Die State 3/1. Brilliant and frosty silver luster covers much of this sharply struck Mint State coin, with bits of gray, blue, and almond-brown toning that cling to the edges of the raised devices and at the dentils. The denomination sits high beneath the arrow fletchings with a large, Curl Base 2, while the 3 is high in the date, and the eagle has a tongue -- pick-up points for the B-2 variety. A few grade-consistent, light marks are noted. Census (all varieties): 26 in 62, 51 finer (11/16).
