Seated Quarters
1858-S 25C VF35 PCGS. Briggs 2-B. In the early years of the San Francisco Mint, half dollars were coined in quantity, while quarters had much smaller mintages. The issues were also little-saved, and are scarce today in all grades. This is an unblemished example with medium to deep cobalt-blue and steel-gray toning. LIBERTY is sharp, and the eagle's plumage is richly defined.
