Seated Quarters
1873-CC 25C Arrows -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. XF. Briggs 1-A. The number of 1873-CC No Arrows quarters known is in the single digits. The With Arrows variety is not a whole lot more common, as PCGS estimates only about 50 examples are known. The latter comes from a mintage of only 12,462 coins. If numerically graded, the present representative would be near the Condition Census. But a light cleaning beneath deep olive-gray toning keeps this well-detailed rarity within the grasp of more budget-restricted collectors. A loupe reveals relatively smooth surfaces and little wear. This is absolutely an acceptable example of one of the keys to the Seated Liberty quarter series.
