Seated Quarters
1887 25C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Briggs 1-A. The 1887 Seated quarter is among the sought-after, low-mintage issues from the tail-end of the series, boasting a production of only 10,000 coins. Mint State examples survive in various grades but are nonetheless rare in Superb Gem condition. This Plus-designated coin is the sole finest at PCGS, and only a single MS68 coin is higher-grade at NGC. The strike is soft on the peripheral stars but well-defined on the central devices. Eye appeal is outstanding. Frosty luster illuminates lavender-gray and aquamarine toning, and the surfaces are beautifully preserved. Population: 13 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 8 in 67, 0 finer (11/16).
