1858 25C PR64+ NGC. Briggs 5-E. Ocean-blue dominates the obverse, as well as the reverse periphery. The reverse field is lilac-red. The obverse has a few small mint-made strike-throughs that suggest inexperience with proof production. 1858 was the first year that proofs were sold to the general public. The Guide Book estimates a proof mintage of 300 pieces.
