Barber Quarters
1903-O 25C MS66 PCGS. David Lawrence once regarded the 1903-O as being on par with the 1896-S in Gem condition. Today, the population data reveals the former to be slightly more available than the latter in high grades, but the two issues are more alike than the wide price disparity would suggest. Richly toned surfaces exhibit well-defined motifs and few marks concealed beneath a layer of olive, gold, violet, and blue patina. Population: 7 in 66 (1 in 66+), 1 finer (11/16).
