1892 25C PR67 NGC. CAC. Type Two Reverse. Each side of this mostly brilliant Superb Gem proof exhibits daubs of violet and russet patina around virtually untoned centers. Certain motifs are partly frosted, generating areas of contrast between the mirrored fields. That is particularly evident on the reverse. The 1892 represents the first year in the Barber quarter series. Ideal type. Census: 22 in 67, 15 finer. CAC: 6 in 67, 5 finer (11/16).
