Standing Liberty Quarters
1920-D 25C MS64 Full Head PCGS. Full Head 1920-D quarters typically come with two different "looks." By far the more common shows full head detail but is slightly weak on the shield rivets and the central gown folds, and the top of the date numerals blend -- or nearly blend -- with the pedestal background. The present Choice Full Head coin represents the other, far rarer appearance. The strike is nothing short of full. Shield rivets are distinctly rounded, Liberty's head is intricately detailed, the figure is bold, and date numerals rise crisply from their background. Liberty's toes, the stars, and the dot-and-dash border pattern fail to show any weakness. The reverse mirrors this sharpness throughout the eagle and the stars. Each side is brilliant and satiny with no mentionable abrasions. This piece is undoubtedly worthy of premium bid. Population: 43 in 64 (3 in 64+) Full Head, 50 finer (11/16).
