Standing Liberty Quarters
1920-S 25C MS66 PCGS. The rarity of the 1920-S in MS66 alone gives this coin significant appeal, although the specialist will also appreciate well-defined shield rivets and sharp eagle's feathers. Liberty's head and the top of the date numeral are soft, as is typical of the issue. Clash marks appear on the reverse above the eagle. Gorgeous luster with light golden toning appears over much of each side along with wisps of lavender seen upon closer examination. Population: 18 in 66 (2 in 66+), 5 finer (11/16).
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2009), lot 2662.
