Standing Liberty Quarters
1927 25C MS66+ Full Head PCGS. CAC. The 1927 is usually available in Full Head, but high-grade examples with decent luster and eye appeal are far scarcer than most collectors may assume prior to trying to locate one. This Plus-designated Gem displays softly frosted luster beneath a dusting of champagne-gray toning. Liberty's head, the shield, and the eagle's feathers are sharply defined. There are no bothersome abrasions. A curious horizontal die crack appears across Liberty's chest. Population: 66 in 66 (7 in 66+) Full Head, 7 finer. CAC: 14 in 66, 1 finer (10/16).
