Early Half Dollars
1795/1795 50C 3 Leaves, O-111, T-19, High R.4, VG8 PCGS. The most distinctive of all 1795 die varieties. All four date digits are widely repunched south, as also seen on O-112, but only Overton-111 has a reverse with three leaves below each wing. The bold radial crack on the reverse, from 10 o'clock to the center, is seen on all examples of the marriage. A charming golden-brown and pearl-gray example. Well defined for the grade except on STATES, which is weak because of the nearby biplanar crack. Certified in a green label holder.
