Early Half Dollars
1806/5 50C O-101, T-6, R.3, XF45 NGC. Cracked above ITE on the reverse, but the cud has not yet formed. The date shows recutting of the 0 and remnants of a 5 in the upper loop of the 6. This is a sharply detailed coin with hints of luster remaining in the protected regions of the fields. Golden interiors cede to lavender and blue border toning. The strike is even but lacking complete sharpness on the central reverse.
