1806 50C Pointed 6, Stem, O-115a, T-17, R.2, AU55 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 5/3. The latest state of the dies, with multiple cracks, die clashing, and the obverse stars drawn to the rims. Crisply struck and lightly toned, this early half saw only brief circulation and retains sharp detail throughout. Mint luster remains bright beneath pale champagne-gold toning that intensifies at the borders. The tail of the 6 in the date is repunched.
