1806 50C Pointed 6, Stem, O-115a, T-17, R.2, MS62 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State 5/3. The late state of the dies, with numerous obverse die cracks and die chips around the outer points of star 2. A reverse die crack above STATES approaches the left wingtip. Rose-gray toning blankets both sides with gunmetal-blue shades at the borders and plentiful mint luster shining through. A thoroughly original and appealing early half, the TY of LIBERTY widely recut, with pleasing fields and a relatively sharp strike for the issue. Housed in a Secure holder.
