Early Half Dollars
1806 50C Pointed 6, Stem, O-118a, T-24, R.3, AU58 PCGS. The reverse is shattered on this late die state variant of O-118, showing heavy die cracks along the left-hand border as well as diagonally across the interior from below the fletchings to the the O in OF. This partially lustrous near-Mint coin displays little evidence of wear and has bright silver luster with a few stray lines seen beneath a loupe. Strike weakness occurs on Liberty's temple, the right-hand border stars, and the central reverse, as usual for the die pairing in this late state.
