1807 50C Draped Bust, O-105a, T-4, R.4, AU55 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State 4/5. Luminous rainbow toning at the margins joins lilac-gray centers of this Choice About Uncirculated early half. Struck from the scarcer late die state (O-105a), with a heavy die break between E and D of UNITED that creates a large die lump there. A few tiny die lumps exist beneath D and the scroll, although not as large as those shown in the Tompkins reference. Only minor abrasions exist on the smooth and attractive surfaces.
