Bust Half Dollars
1810 50C O-108, R.3, MS62 PCGS. Ex: Meyer Collection. Brilliant-silver luster dominates a speckling of powder-gray and olive-gold toning that congregates at the borders. The obverse stars are sharp with the exception of stars 8 and 9, which show minor flatness at the centers. The reverse displays some lengthy die cracks to represent a middle state of the dies. A scarce variety of this early Capped Bust date, ranking at the low end of the Condition Census according to both Parsley and Herrman. Population (all Overton varieties combined): 26 in 62, 37 finer (10/16).
