Bust Half Dollars
1811/10 50C O-102, R.4, AU58 PCGS. CAC. Dappled shades of pale-blue, russet-red, and cloudy-gray drift across the silver surfaces of this scarce and popular "18 dot 11" variety. The reverse is colorfully toned, adding peach-gold to the palette. Fatigued dies show wear, with some graininess at the borders where the obverse stars and reverse legend are pulled toward the edge, and with weakening of the dentils. The advanced state of the dies notwithstanding, this coin is close to full Mint State. Luster remains beneath the toning, and the central motifs are comparatively sharp.
