Bust Half Dollars
1812 50C Large 8, O-103, R.1, MS64 PCGS. CAC. The reverse is rotated 20° clockwise. Rich lilac and gold toning covers the lustrous surfaces of this smooth and attractive near-Gem half. The O-103 variety shows a diagnostic die line to the right of the clasp and a series of die lines above the left (facing) eagle's wing beneath the neck. Recutting on the left curve at O in OF confirms the die pair. Housed in an old green label holder from time of purchase, this frosty and Choice example is CAC endorsed with a razor-sharp strike.
