1812 50C Large 8, O-104a, R.1, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. The reverse has a ling die line through the feathers left of the shield, and that feature is diagnostic for this die pair. The obverse is perfect and the reverse is cracked through NITED STATES on this intermediate die state. Later states have an obverse crack through the drapery from the 1 in the date to Star 1. This Choice Mint State piece has full luster that shines through lovely champagne toning with peripheral gold. PCGS has certified five in MS64+ with 26 finer for all 1812 varieties (11/16).
