Bust Half Dollars
1812 50C Large 8, O-105, R.1 -- Scratches -- NGC Details. Fine. A scarce Bust half error with the left-hand stars partially off the flan, merged with the coin's edge. A similar off-center west strike affects UNITED, with the top half of the letters gone. This coin saw heavy circulation, with resultant scratches on the obverse and a knifelike gouge in the left obverse field. Deep, bluish-brown toning blankets both sides of this appealing Mint error O-105 coin.
