1812 50C Large 8, O-105a, R.2, MS64 NGC. The dies are heavily deteriorated on this late-state variety, although the obverse was still used for another die marriage (O-106). This Choice example displays champagne-gray interiors with aquamarine border toning. The strike is sharp despite metal flowlines in the fields that nearly eradicate portions of the border dentils. There are no major abrasions.
