Bust Half Dollars
1814 50C O-103, R.1, AU58 PCGS. Vertical die lines beneath Liberty's bust and a heavy die line from the scroll to the eagle's left (facing) wing are the primary identifiers of the O-103 die pair. This near-Mint example is struck from a later state of the dies, where multiple die clashing on the obverse shows inverted images of the eagle's wings, shield stripes, and scroll incused on and around the portrait. The surfaces are otherwise smooth and unmarked with softly lustrous, steel-gray patina and excellent eye appeal.
