Bust Half Dollars
1814 50C O-103, R.1, MS63 NGC. CAC. Multiple areas of bold die clashing appear on both sides of this Select Uncirculated O-103 example, which is seldom seen in an unclashed die state. A heavy, ridgelike die line from the E of E PLURIBUS UNUM runs from the scroll to the midpoint of the eagle's wing. Vivid toning covers both the obverse and reverse, with steel-blue and amber-gold hues that surround silvery centers of this visually impressive piece. The coin is sharply struck for the state of the dies and essentially free of any post-Mint marks and abrasions. CAC endorsed, housed in a previous generation, pre-barcode NGC holder.
