Bust Half Dollars
1814 50C O-105, R.2, MS63 PCGS. Die clashing on both sides define the unlapped O-105 variety, with three prominent shield stripes clashed below the ear and plain even to the unaided eye. A Select Uncirculated example, softly lustrous with dappled deep, steel-gray toning and pleasing gold and blue accents. The strike is sharp on all but the right-hand stars, which are typically flat on the variety. Housed in an old green label holder, this piece is close to the Condition Census for the variety according to both the Parsley and Herrman listings. Population (all 1814 varieties included): 25 in 63, 40 finer (10/16).
