Bust Half Dollars
1814 50C O-107, R.2, MS62 PCGS. A prominent die chip fills the angle of N in UNITED and a pair of die lines form a distinct pattern near the end of Liberty's ribbon on the obverse while star 13 shows a small spike from the end of the inner point nearest the curl. Multiple die clashing encircles the central motifs on both sides of the coin. Richly toned in autumn-gold hues, this deeply patinated Bust half displays soft and glowing mint luster beneath the toning and sharply struck devices. O-107 is a somewhat scarcer variety in Mint State, where MS62 approaches the low end of the Condition Census.
