Bust Half Dollars
1815/2 50C O-101, R.2, AU50 NGC. Faintly iridescent toning combines blue, lilac, lavender, and pale-gold hues to embellish the light, silver-gray patina across both sides of this scarce, low-mintage Bust half. As usual, the overdate requires magnification but the curve of an underlying 2 is clearly outlined above the loop of the 5. No die cracks are apparent, but multiple obverse and reverse die clashing suggests a middle die state of the O-101 variety. Always in strong demand by series specialists and date collectors. Census: 18 in 50, 83 finer (11/16).
