Bust Half Dollars
1817 50C O-110a, R.2, MS63 PCGS. CAC. The triple dentil beneath star 13 confirms the variety, while a strong die crack through ERICA and the arrowheads on the reverse plus a crack from the top of the cap through the right-hand stars on the obverse indicates the O-110a late die state. This is a lustrous, champagne-gold example with a band of attractive blue album toning at the borders. The strike is remarkably sharp for the advanced state of the dies, with bold star centers and sharp central motifs. There are no distracting marks or abrasions to mention. Scarce this nice, with CAC endorsement. Housed in a small, first generation PCGS holder.
