Bust Half Dollars
1818/7 50C Large 8, O-101, R.1, MS62 PCGS. CAC. A gap in the dentils beneath C in 50 C. confirms the reverse die, while the obverse shows the top of a distinct underdigit 7 above the primary 8. Coppery-gold toning gives way to blue overtones on each side of this lustrous Mint State example. The strike is crisp throughout, with sharp star centers and bold central motifs. Cartwheel mint luster shines across both sides of this CAC-endorsed coin. Population (all Large 8 varieties of the overdate): 5 in 62 (1 in 62+), 11 finer. CAC: 2 in 62, 7 finer (11/16).
