Bust Half Dollars
1819 50C O-112, R.3, MS63 PCGS. Cerulean-blue, emerald-green, and rose toning grace the smoothly lustrous surfaces of this well-produced half dollar. The stars display sharp centers and are minimally drawn to the edge, while only the topmost folds in the cap show any sign of weakness. Marks or abrasions are absent from the Select Uncirculated surfaces. The O-112 is a scarcer variety among the 15 die pairs that struck more than 2.2 million half dollars for the year. This lovely coin is tied at the low end of the Condition Census for the variety (65, 65, 64, 64, 63).
