Bust Half Dollars
1823 50C O-108, R.2, MS63 PCGS. CAC. The stars are large and well-formed. Star 7 is close to the milling where it points to the top of Liberty's forecurl. The 2 and 3 in the date are visibly larger than the 18. This Select Uncirculated example is razor-sharp on the obverse with nearly full details, with a few marks on the neck . The reverse is almost equally sharp but shows slight flattening of the talons where they grip the arrow shafts. Cerulean-blue, lilac, and peach-gold toning blankets both sides with frosty, original patina. A CAC-endorsed example, positioned at the lower end of the Condition Census for the variety as reported by both the Parsley and Herrman references.
