Bust Half Dollars
1827/6 50C O-101, R.2, MS63 NGC. The overdate is more visible than usual for the O-101 variety, with the underdigit visible on the right, left, and top of the primary 7. Pale-gold toning with occasional blue accents drift across semiprooflike fields of this attractive Select Uncirculated example. The strike is needle sharp with only a few tiny ticks visible on either side of the coin. Census (all overdate varieties): 12 in 63, 16 finer (11/16).
