Bust Half Dollars
1827 50C Square Base 2, O-132, R.3, MS63 PCGS. CAC. The rose-gray centers cede to beautiful aqua, green, and russet patina near the rims on both sides. A few trivial luster grazes on Liberty are in concert with the grade. The strike is good on the lower hair curls and throughout the reverse. Several of the obverse stars are drawn to the rim. A die line starting beneath the headband below the serif of L in LIBERTY extends to the cap to confirm the O-132 die pair. This piece near the low end of the Condition Census for the variety according to the Autumn, 2016 Steve Herrman listing.
